Project Overview

After the initial four quarterly chemical oxidation applications that occurred from December 2011 to November 2012, AET observed an 85% reduction of BTEX and a 66% reduction of naphthalenes concentrations in the groundwater. AET then completed an additional two injections for a total of six chemical injection events between December 2011 and June 2015. AET also conducted Post Active Remediation Monitoring (PARM) groundwater sampling events during active remediation, and continuing for one year past the last injection. The June 2016 PARM sampling event was the final field activity and confirmed the site met all No Further Action (NFA) criteria. Hillsborough County EPC concurred the site met NFA and a Site Rehabilitation Completion Order (SRCO) was issued on November 9, 2016. The project was completed with proper abandonment of all wells in April 2017 after obtaining a right-of-way access permit from the City of Tampa Transportation Department.
