Last week, Advanced Environmental Technologies (AET) took an important step forward in our mission to deliver innovative environmental solutions. Branch managers from AET, AET Compliance, and AET Construction gathered in Pensacola, Florida, for a two-day meeting that brought together some of the brightest minds in our organization. Joining us were executives from our parent company, EIS Holdings, as well as leaders from Eagle Environmental Consulting and Simpson Environmental Services, both EIS companies. The energy in the room was high as we aligned on our shared vision, tackled challenges head-on, and laid the groundwork for a transformative 2025.

A Collaborative Gathering of Industry Leaders

Managers from every division of AET came together to discuss a wide range of topics, from budget optimization to the ever-evolving challenges of hiring and retaining top talent. These conversations were not just about identifying problems but about crafting innovative solutions that will drive AET and our sister companies forward.

A highlight of the event was hearing from two of our industry’s most respected leaders. BJ Stephan, CEO of EIS Holdings, reminded us of the power of a unified vision. He reinforced the importance of collaboration across all EIS business units and challenged us to think bigger, act bolder, and remain steadfast in our commitment to excellence.

We also heard from Martin Eckert, head of Eagle Environmental Consulting. Martin shared his experience starting Eagle - emphasizing the ups and downs that are inevitable when building a business from the ground up. His ultimate partnership with EIS was one of the many steps to Eagle’s continuous growth and leadership in the Rocky Mountain area. His expertise underscores the importance of a collaborative working environment as well as thinking outside of the box to deliver solutions that exceed client expectations.

Realigning on Our Vision and Mission

At the heart of the meeting was a renewed focus on AET's mission and values. We took a step back to reflect on what makes AET unique: our dedication to client-first service and our ability to deliver innovative, sustainable solutions.

Engaging in dynamic discussions, the team challenged one another to find new ways to elevate performance and service quality in 2025. We explored new ways to streamline internal processes, enhance internal and external communication, motivate and engage our employees, and ultimately deliver a fresh perspective to every project we undertake. The goal? To ensure that AET remains a leader in environmental consulting, remediation, compliance, and petroleum construction while maintaining the highest industry standards.

Developing a Roadmap for a Proactive Future

The meeting wasn’t just about reflection—it was about action. We developed concrete plans and initiatives designed to foster a more proactive and positive mindset across the organization. These initiatives will focus on:

1. Enhancing Client Relationships: By reinforcing our client-first approach, we aim to build deeper, more meaningful partnerships that drive long-term success.

2. Improving Operational Efficiency: Streamlining internal processes will enable us to deliver projects faster and more effectively, without compromising on quality.

3. Boosting Employee Engagement: We believe our greatest strength is our team, which is why we are improving efforts to foster deeper connections and boost employee engagement through quarterly team-building experiences—from bowling nights to axe-throwing sessions and beyond.

4. Strengthening Collaboration: By deepening our relationships with fellow business units within EIS Holdings, we can leverage shared expertise to drive collective success.

As we wrapped up our time in Pensacola, there was a shared sense of momentum and purpose. The meeting was a powerful reminder that teamwork is critical to our overall success.
